I received the log splitter after comparing hire prices against purchasing and for an extra £40 I am now the owner of my own log splitter. The product arrived next day. The assembly instructions could certainly do with being more detailed, with better step by step guides, hence the 4 stars rather than 5 for assembly. I used the log splitter for 9 days continually splitting well over 1000 logs. It never failed throughout. This is a powerful log-splitter ideal for both small and surprisingly large logs. I would certainly highly recommend this product for the money. One word of caution in using it (as with all log splitters) dry logs tend to break rather than split and this cause the logs to be fired out at a fair old speed, but the safety cover works perfectly in these instances. I would also strongly recommend cleaning the runners and running plates when required as small pieces of wood can interrupt operation. If you want a good quality and good priced log-splitter look no further.

Once built it is effective simple to use and a great addition to my tool shed
The instructions for assembly are awful
In the end, the best bit of the instructions was a picture of the completely built unit from mow-direct’s website
The pictures in the instructions are so small and vague and the written instructions bear no resemblance to what you need to do
However now built I would still recommend

Really good bit of kit i have no faults with it it does do what it says cuts your logs with ease
I did use to stuggle using an axe then bending down to pick up the split log
Sharpening axes ect
Would recomend to anyone

We got one of these to help us with the logs this winter. It has been a great purchase for us making light work of splitting the logs for the fire. If you have a log fire or burner and split your own logs get one of these
