Description

The Racing 62PR boasts a compact 61cm cutting-width that not only makes it easy to work around and between obstacles, but also makes it possible to gain access to areas beyond narrow gateways (unusually for a ride-on mower, the Racing 62PR will fit through a standard 28" gate).

A high-capacity 196cc (6.5hp) four-stroke overhead-valve engine - with electric start - provides dependable, fuel efficient power; five-step blade-height adjustment (35-75mm) ensures there’s a setting for every eventuality.

Thanks to its five-speed gearbox (four forward; one reverse), the Racing 62PR Ride-On Mower can be driven at a speed that’s most effective for the nature of the ground surface you’re operating on and the grass length you’re tackling.

Also noteworthy is the roomy, downtime minimising 150-litre grassbag; and the strong and durable steel cutter deck, which will shrug-off any knocks and bumps.

My racing 62PR ride on mower was delivered to me on 23rd November 2020. Alex delivered this machine and was very informative with the instructions and demonstrated the mower showing me how to use , also put it in my shed for me. Told me to ring if there was anything else I needed to know. Unable to rate performance of machine as it will not be used till spring 2020. Excellent service from Sally on the phone line when I ordered. Will buy again from this company when I require other items.

We have roughly one third of an acre split across 3 lawns. Machine is a perfect size. ASSEMBLY This is the only area in which the 62PR falls below 5 stars. I would add my voice to those of other reviewers. In practice, the assembly is simple but the instructions / photos require the vision of a 20 year old (not my 50-something long sighted vision) and are not in line with the instructions you would expect for an item of this cost and quality. A very small investment to fix this would be a good move. Someone could spend 10 minutes creating an assembly video. It is not clear in the instructions that you can EITHER have the diverter OR the grass box attached although soon becomes clear when you try! Similar to others, the battery connection requires lifting the body (removing the gear and height control knobs). OPERATION Blade engage lever requires a little more strength than expected, steering is a little vague (I'm going to investigate the linkages to see if this can be adjusted) and gear position lever is similarly a little vague. But for the money, the machine gets 5 stars in most respects. Great cut, good power, starts and runs smoothly and enjoyable to operate. Its compact size is a major benefit. My neighbours have ridiculous tractors which lack finesse and take up a lot of storage space. A reverse cut option would be nice for those awkward corners but for the money, fantastic overall. CONCLUSION Very glad I bought this and look forward to years of reliable, enjoyable mowing.

I have found this product perfect for my purpose. I have a reasonably flat half an acre paddock and with my new machine I have achieved a near perfect cut, Every thing about the operation is very easy to understand and the machine is well put together and likely to provide me with just what I wanted. I used to pay £40 to have a contractor cut the paddock so the pay back period is easy to quantify. In short I am very pleased.

The manual leaves a lot to be desired. Ignore the battery instructions - its already installed but needs the connectors joining. The lowest cut says "30mm" but there is a lower setting which is ideal for a very short cut. Overall very pleased with the performance and it does fit through the garden gate!

Getting old and wobbly. Large garden. Struggled at first since, compared with more expensive machines it is not the easiest to use. Two weeks later and a couple of cuts practice I am very , very pleased. We bought the machine in the middle of the virus scare, sure they took a while to come back to answer my simple query, but they did. I can't fault the service under difficult conditions.
