Whether you’re looking to prepare an area of virgin ground for seeding, or need to weed and aerate between rows of existing crops, the compact Mountfield Manor 36 V will make the job far less arduous and time-consuming.
It’s driven by a 123cc Mountfield four-stroke engine, power from which is delivered to the four 24.5cm-diameter rotors via a belt drive so as to ensure sudden load increases or accidental impact won’t irreparably damage the transmission – a bent crankshaft can’t be easily fixed, whereas a snapped belt can simply be replaced.
The Mountfield Manor Compact 36 V Cultivator has a narrow 36cm working-width, so it’s ideal for less substantial plots, especially those with awkward corners and tight access ways.
It has been fitted with depth skids, so you can set the working-height to a position that’s most effective for the nature of the application; and it features a height-adjustable handlebar for optimum user-comfort, no matter what your stature.
There’s also a transport wheel for easy site-to-site movement.
Features
A compact tiller for primary and secondary tillage over smaller areas
Powerful, smooth-running and easy-starting four-stroke engine from Mountfield
High-torque belt-drive
Four robust and hardwearing rotors
Depth-skids allow you to control the level of cultivation
Handlebar can be set to the most comfortable position for any given operator
Transport wheels make the tiller easy to move to and from the plot

Easy to assemble and, to my amazement, it started first pull and has done ever since.
I've only used it on broken ground but it churns the soil to a nice fine tilth. You need some beef to control it though as, for a 100cc motor, it has some real power. Not such a problem for me, but my wife (who's actually quite strong) struggled a bit at first. Having said that, it's just getting the technique right, when it then does a great job.
Very happy with this purchase.

I've borrowed much bigger and heavier cultivators, but this one does a brilliant job and starts first time.
Excellent little workhorse.

I brought this as a replacement and was very happy with it as it cultivates very well, even in the clay soil on my allotment. It made the job in hand very easy and I would recommend this to anyone

Gives you a good work out on the arms, shoulders and legs. I'm glad I didn't buy anything more powerful.
I was tired after going up and down a 20m run, but sharing the task between the two of us we covered as much ground as I would have manually covered in about ten days, working about two hours a day.

Good quality - rotovates my allotment with no problems. Used in a piece of virgin ground and coped with this very well. Reasonably light to lift into the back of the car.
